About The Position

Provide mobile crisis response, crisis assessments, and short-term interventions. Position includes embedded collaboration with Haven House two days per week to provide trauma informed crisis services to women experiencing domestic violence, while remaining part of the Crisis Services Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field, required.
  • Meets QMHP (Tier 2) requirements for Mobile Crisis Response, required.
  • Ability to conduct crisis, safety, and suicide risk assessments, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, preferred.
  • Prior mobile crisis, emergency response, or shelter‑based experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mobile crisis intervention services, including crisis assessments, safety evaluations, and brief stabilization interventions as a Tier 2 Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
  • Conduct trauma‑informed crisis assessments for individuals impacted by domestic violence, including evaluation of suicide risk, emotional distress, and immediate safety needs.
  • Deliver short‑term, solution‑focused crisis counseling and de‑escalation interventions using person‑centered and trauma‑informed approaches.
  • Serve as an embedded Mobile Crisis Counselor at Haven House two days per week, providing on‑site crisis response services while remaining part of the Mobile Crisis Response Team.
  • Collaborate with Haven House advocacy staff to support coordinated safety planning, crisis stabilization, and appropriate service referrals while maintaining clinical role boundaries.
  • Facilitate referrals and linkages to internal FCC programs and external community resources to support continuity of care following crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 clinicians and supervisors as needed for higher‑risk or complex cases.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with FCC policies, DMH requirements, and Mobile Crisis Response standards.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and required trainings to maintain QMHP competencies and Tier 2 status.
  • Respond to additional mobile crisis calls or assignments as needed to support program operations.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
