About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and Clinical Services and the Crisis Continuum Operations Program Manager, the Crisis Continuum of Care Program Coordinator will ensure program compliance, oversee real-time performance outcomes, and make decisions in consultation with BHCS leadership. Will work in close collaboration with the Crisis Continuum Clinical Supervisor to ensure staff support for Mobile Response Stabilization Services, Crisis Stabilization, Intake Specialist, Case Managers, and Community Based Clinicians. Will ensure services are aligned with agency productivity standards, policies, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a master's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation, counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related field.
  • Minimum designation of Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or higher in the state of Illinois.
  • Requires the use of a personal auto, valid driver’s license and motor vehicle report acceptable to the agency’s broker and verification of insurance.
  • Must have been cleared by the State of Illinois based upon a prior history of child abuse/neglect.
  • Must clear a personal background review, fingerprinting, and criminal checks.
  • Demonstrate experiences, beliefs, attitude, and awareness that indicate cultural sensitivity to the client population served.
  • Possess an understanding of evidence-informed practices, engagement strategies, boundary setting, concurrent documentation, working in a community setting, organizing, motivational interviewing, and family systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all services are provided in accordance with standards of informed consent, maintenance of client rights, standards of confidentiality and are consistent with agency procedures, licensing standards, standards of professional practice and funder requirements and other applicable regulations.
  • Provide and document administrative supervision of staff in accordance with agency performance standards.
  • Maintain updated crisis worker expectations and enforce responsibilities of crisis workers.
  • Assist in identifying staff training needs and recommend ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Clinical Supervisor to maintain compliance within Rule 132/140.
  • Ensure crisis worker notes are completed within program requirements and that all required notes are entered into Evolv.
  • Ensure there is an IM-CAT for every call in the State CRS system.
  • Review crisis worker referral detailed report and as well as all required documents for each call logged.
  • Forward referral detailed report to designated staff member for payroll completion (when applicable).
  • Participate in program management meetings.
  • During day shift act as 1st response to DCFS, SASS, CARES, and hospital concerns.
  • Provide training for new staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current and required practices and procedures, both internal to Ada S McKinley and BHCS, and external state level.
  • Assist with developing new program procedures in accordance with state practices, and contract guidelines.
