Crisis Clinician (N3) - Crisis Services - RAAM
About The Position
Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Under the general direction of the Manager - Crisis Response Services and Clinical Team Leaders, and in collaboration with the CRC/Rapid Access to Addictions Medicine (RAAM) Clinical Team, the incumbent is responsible for providing clinical services to individuals in a mental health, psychosocial or addiction crisis.
Requirements
- Four years related community experience.
- Expertise in the area of mental health and addictions.
- RN/BN or RPN/BRPN required.
- Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the appropriate registering body.
- Knowledge of Crisis Intervention Theory.
- Effective Crisis Intervention Skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of psychosocial rehab and recovery.
- Knowledge and experience in working with people with substance related concerns.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective networking and agency relations skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties, responsibilities and functions of the job.
- A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
Nice To Haves
- Addiction related training such as The Core Addictions Practices certificate or equivalent education and training experience in substance use/dependency is an asset.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
- Suicide Assessment and Intervention Training.
- Trauma Informed Care Training.
- Completion of MICST (Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Safety Training).
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle preferred.
