About The Position

Performs a lead role in providing de-escalation techniques and support to clients on the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Will provide continuous observation, monitoring and engagement with clients. Engagement to include individual and group activities. Understand role of all staff on the unit and when to ask for assistance from nursing and other staff. Greets clients on admission, provides preliminary admission screenings/procedures with clients to include urine drug screens, consent forms, clothing search, inventory, Personal Safety Interview, orientation to units, etc. Applicants must be able to utilize proper restraint methods and protect staff and clients in crisis situations (execute CPI Interventions).

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health and security experience.
  • Of the two (2) years of experience, a minimum of one (1) year should be in security, police work, military, or similar role.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a crisis environment.
  • Knowledge of security principles and procedures.
  • Experience with or knowledge of trauma informed, resilience-oriented care.

Responsibilities

  • Work 7AM – 3:30PM, Monday through Friday; alternating weekends and holidays.
  • Provide de-escalation techniques and support to clients.
  • Provide continuous observation, monitoring and engagement with clients.
  • Engage with clients in individual and group activities.
