About The Position

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to providing life-changing care. As a trauma-informed organization, we foster a culture of understanding and resilience. This position is part of a 24/7/365 high-volume call team focused on suicide prevention. The role involves providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, and service linkage for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to offer support and compassion within a dynamic team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist required.
One year of experience preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.

Seeking overnight coverage particularly on weekends.

Responsibilities

Provide telephonic clinical screenings, risk assessments, means restriction, and crisis intervention to callers.
Conduct outreach calls to individuals assessed by mobile crisis to promote safety.
Meet ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation.
Attend team meetings, in-service training, supervision, and other quality assurance training.
Demonstrate high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.
Provide service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.
Promote a departmental culture of cooperation and collaboration with other cross-functional departments, community agencies, hospitals, mental health consumers, and the public at large.
Assist in administrative tasks as needed.
