Requirements

• Successful completion of the commonwealth’s Criminal Justice System Specialist Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of professional experience in criminal or juvenile justice, law enforcement, or victim services, and a bachelor’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences, criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field ; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with agencies and providers to speed up claim processing
• Examine losses, documentation, and restitution information to prepare accurate determinations
• Assist victims in understanding the claim process, gathering materials, and navigating available services
• Provide clear information to law enforcement, service providers, and other partners about program requirements
• Respond to incoming calls and messages to give timely updates, referrals, and program details
