This is a sensitive government position within the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) that requires adherence to State Personnel Board Rules. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive GBI background investigation, including criminal, credit, and driver’s history checks, polygraph examination, fingerprinting, and drug screening. The GBI is a drug-free workplace and follows federal statutes regarding drug use. Applicants with specific marijuana or other drug usage within certain timeframes will be disqualified. The Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) is responsible for preparing and completing audit reports with findings, evaluations, and recommendations for corrective actions in accordance with relevant state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing criminal justice information. This role involves conducting triennial on-site and electronic audits of criminal justice agencies accessing state and federal criminal justice information and developing and presenting training to ensure compliance. Extensive statewide travel is required.
