As a Criminal Intelligence Technician (Research Analyst 2) with the Oregon Department of Justice, Criminal Justice Division, you will work closely with law enforcement and public safety agencies to consistently compile, evaluate, collate, analyze information, and ensure effectiveness for our state’s Analytical & Criminal Investigative Services Section (ACISS). The Criminal Intelligence Technician will be responsible for conducting research and analysis of various data sources to identify, develop, and initiate investigative leads in support of ACISS’s mission objectives via approved open-source management platforms. This work will focus on collecting, evaluating, and synthesizing information from social media, open-source, commercial, and law enforcement databases to support threat identification, soft-target hardening of critical infrastructure, assessments, and criminal investigations both within the Criminal Justice Division and local law enforcement. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with on-site attendance at our Spinnaker Point location in Salem, Oregon. Employees are expected to work on-site for a minimum of two days per week.
