Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
Strong courtroom presence with excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Ability to effectively manage a busy caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a client-centered approach.
A genuine passion for protecting constitutional rights and advocating for people in need.

Nice To Haves

Prior criminal defense, DUI defense, prosecution, or litigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in a wide range of criminal defense matters, including DUI, misdemeanors, felonies, and related criminal charges.
Develop and execute strategic defense plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Conduct detailed case investigations, review evidence, and identify opportunities to strengthen client defenses.
Research legal issues and draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
Negotiate with prosecutors to pursue favorable resolutions while always advocating for the best interests of clients.
Provide clients with clear legal guidance, case updates, and confidence throughout the legal process.
Appear in court for arraignments, hearings, motions, trials, sentencing proceedings, and other critical appearances.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and support staff to build strong, effective defense strategies.
