About The Position

The incumbent of this position will monitor multiple workload listings to ensure requests are completed within service level objectives. The employee will analyze and process incoming criminal history checks in eAgent, DJJ, DOC and Sex predator websites for the completion of Initials, Rechecks and Emergency placements. This position involves the use of technology to generate and support Child & Vulnerable Adult Abuse Investigations. It will give you the opportunity to network with professional intelligence technicians/analysts and investigators, exposure to analytic support role in the criminal investigations process. You will also have the opportunity to be CJIS certified and have training opportunities. This is a golden opportunity to get your foot in the door in a competitive industry. Other agencies also prefer analyst candidates with CJIS certification and experience.

Requirements

  • 18 years old
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic message taking techniques.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments via telephone and analyze information.
  • Ability to provide guidance and assistance to persons in crisis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to utilize personal computer systems and associated applications, including Microsoft® Word.
  • Knowledge of web-based applications.
  • Ability to report to work during natural disasters as essential personnel.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes evening, night, and weekend hours.
  • Mandatory training is required and must be successfully completed.
  • Eligibility and passing of CJIS requirements are essential, as well as maintaining CJIS certification.
  • Must be registered with the Selective Service System (SSS) before their 26th birthday or have a Letter of Registration Exemption from the SSS (for male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962).
  • Must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.

Nice To Haves

  • CJIS certification and experience are preferred by other agencies.
