About The Position

Jeff's Bagel Run is opening a new location in Gainesville this summer and is looking for outgoing individuals to join their team. The company's goal is to bake fresh bagels, bring joy, and build community. They started in 2019 and have grown to 34 locations. This role offers an opportunity to learn the bagel business and grow with the company. The work environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and closes at 2 PM daily. A great candidate will be disciplined, fast, take pride in consistency, and deliver a quality product. They must be willing to work in a bakery focused on baking bagels and serving customers with a strong understanding of excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move quickly under pressure. Other tasks include whipped cream cheese production, cream cheese scooping, vegetable chopping, inventory counts, food prep, making coffee, dishes, general cleaning, and front-of-house service.

Responsibilities

  • General customer service
  • Running front of house as a team, or individually
  • Assisting in food prep (bagels and cream cheese)
  • Front lobby maintenance
  • Inventory counts
  • Providing assistance to the bakers when needed
  • Clean and disinfect work area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Prepping and baking bagels
  • Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures
  • Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
