About The Position

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is seeking a Crew Member for Conservation Parks to join their team. This role is primarily outdoors and focuses on providing excellent customer service and connecting visitors with nature. The Crew Member will be an integral part of the Conservation Parks team, responsible for delivering high-quality park programming, special events, and maintaining trails and facilities. This is an occasional hourly position, with anticipated start and end dates from August 24, 2026, to November 6, 2026. CVC is dedicated to protecting, restoring, and enhancing the local natural environment, caring for the Credit River and its tributaries.

Requirements

  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work during non-daylight hours.
  • Available to work most weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Currently possesses or is willing to obtain Emergency/Basic First Aid, CPR C certification.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of park programming, including recreation opportunities like renting a variety of watercraft, fat tire bikes, ice huts and fishing rods.
  • Maintaining green spaces and facilities by collecting litter, pruning, gardening and cleaning indoor areas as required.
  • Set up, support and tear down for picnics and weddings.
  • Implementation and delivery of special events.
  • Safe operation of CVC-owned and operated vehicles and equipment.
  • Operating a point-of-sale system including online and in-person sales, reservations and payments.
  • Providing visitors with detailed information about our Conservation Areas and surrounding areas from a recreational and educational perspective.
