About The Position

The Crew Leader - 3rd Shift is responsible for maintaining maximum efficiencies of assigned equipment to ensure good productivity. This role involves troubleshooting quality or operational issues, assisting team members, and identifying training needs. The Crew Leader will work with the training supervisor to keep Pay for Skills updated and coordinate with other leaders during shift changes. Accurate data entry and recordkeeping are essential, as is the timely identification and investigation of quality issues. This position serves as backup to team members and the shift leader to maintain operational continuity and participates in continuous improvement projects. Ensuring team members work safely, providing education on safety topics, and maintaining housekeeping and 6S standards are key responsibilities. The Crew Leader must identify quality issues, attain established productivity standards, and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
  • 1-3 years of Manufacturing experience required
  • Previous leadership experience a plus
  • Willing to work 3rd Shift and cover 1st & 2nd Shift Crew Leaders when off
  • Must have a general understanding of the operational process
  • Willingness to participate in continuous learning initiatives
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills to logically solve operational decisions and efficiently address issues as they arise
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must be able to drive a forklift
  • Possess skill to train operators and designation of Certified Trainer
  • Continuous commitment to taking on added responsibilities above standard skills
  • Capable of troubleshooting difficult production problems and developing appropriate corrective actions
  • Proven leadership skills (i.e., communicating safety toolbox talks, serving on quality teams, etc.)
  • Acquired leadership skills through training courses and dedication to continuous learning and development
  • Proven track record of exhibiting core values (i.e. volunteering for added responsibilities, providing coverage for absenteeism and voluntary overtime, helping others with problem solving, etc.)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
