About The Position

Crew Leaders are in charge of overseeing the operations of their lines or areas. Leaders are expected to lead by example and have a great and productive relationship with their crew. Also, leaders need to understand and be in sync with the management’s vision to create a successful team.

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Some crew leader experience
• Basic Math Skills
• Must be flexible with work schedule
• Must be an active Taylor Farms employee or in the rollover process
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
• Moving on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
• Typically bends, lifts, carries, reaches/extends arms and hands above shoulder height occasionally, or moves in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work doing physical work in cold temperatures, occasionally on wet floors.

Nice To Haves

• Computer skills are a plus.
• Excel & MS Word
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage their lines and the employees on that line, ensuring breaks are taken on time.
• Oversee new worker training and ongoing training for all members of the crew.
• Adhere to all HACCP and Food Safety policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Comply with all policies regarding Employee Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as needed or directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Move and push empty and loaded pallets with a pallet jack.
