About The Position

The Landscape Installer Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of landscape installation professionals. This role involves coordinating daily project tasks, ensuring installation quality meets company standards, and maintaining positive client and contractor relationships throughout the construction process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a landscape installation crew leader or supervisor.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and construction documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of landscape installation practices, materials, and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and operate landscape equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with irrigation installation preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Train, and supervise landscape installation crew members.
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities based on project plans and skill sets.
  • Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Address personnel issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications prior to job execution
  • Ensure that all equipment, tools, and materials are prepared, maintained, and available for use.
  • Supervise and participate in installation tasks including planting, sod installation, grading, etc.
  • Inspect work throughout all phases to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot installation issues on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, and project managers.
  • Provide daily progress updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Ensure project expectations are fully understood and executed by the crew.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships to support repeat business.
  • Ensure all team members follow company safety protocols and job site regulations.
  • Conduct daily safety checks and ensure PPE usage.
  • Inspect equipment for hazards and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or near-misses to management immediately.
