Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Crew Leader with chainsaw operating experience and a requirement for travel. Per-diem and travel costs are provided. The Crew Leader will adhere to and coach employees on company policies, procedures, safety practices, and OSHA regulations. They will assist with safety training, pre-job briefings, and crew assignments. The role supports the General Foreperson in daily execution of project plans, production goals, and safety expectations. Responsibilities include reviewing work scope, hazards, and client concerns, ensuring accurate daily documentation, monitoring crew performance, and supporting the safe use of tools and equipment. The Crew Leader will provide direction and coaching to apprentices and less experienced workers, participate in competency reviews, and verify worker competency in field tasks. They will identify competency gaps and communicate them to the General Foreperson. The role involves participation in the BC Joint Health and Safety Committee process and bringing forward field-level safety concerns. The Crew Leader acts as a link between the General Foreperson and the crew, translating project expectations into field execution. Maintaining regular attendance, supporting Wright's culture of safety and employee ownership, and complying with all applicable laws and company policies are essential. Other duties include driving and operating assigned vehicles and equipment.
