Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.
Ability to read and write.
Display and exhibit leadership abilities.
Capable of safely lifting 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment.
Ability to prioritize daily tasks in accordance with schedule needs.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain safety policies and standards.
Ensure first quality for all processes.
Perform and maintain required line readings to ensure machine set-up is correct.
Fill in for extrusion operators.
Train and coach job specifics to extrusion operators.
Ensure all operators have necessary tools and supplies.
Complete production reports.
Be familiar with current schedule and prepare for/perform product changeovers.
Communicate with oncoming/outgoing shift’s Extrusion crew leaders.
Must be able to work overtime when needed on short notice.
Ability to keep work areas clean and safe.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Report unsafe activities to supervisor and/or manager and/or Human Resources.
Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
