About The Position

The Creeler is primarily responsible for creeling assigned yarns on correct knitting machines in an efficient and safe manner. This role involves creeling two (2) machines on each knitting set, totaling ten to twelve (10-12) machines. The Creeler must ensure yarn is not damaged during transfer from yarn boxes to yarn pin trucks and stack yarn appropriately on yarn pin trucks. Adherence to all safety procedures and policies, and reporting of any unsafe conditions, is crucial. Maintaining a neat and clean work area and performing other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Ability to read and verify yarns printed on knitting tickets with Knitter and Knitting Mechanic.
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creel two (2) machines on each knitting set (10-12 machines total).
• Keep yarn from being damaged while transferring from yarn boxes to yarn pin trucks.
• Stack yarn on yarn pin trucks only one layer above top row of pins.
• Follow all safety procedures/policies and advise management of any unsafe conditions.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
