About The Position

VersaBank is seeking a Credit Support Coordinator to join their Real Estate Lending team. This is a full-time, in-office role located in London, Ontario. The Credit Support Coordinator will provide operational support for lending and credit activities within the Real Estate Lending department. This includes preparing and reviewing credit, loan, and security documentation, ensuring transactions meet approved credit terms and regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and clients to gather necessary information and support the smooth execution of lending activities.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in the banking or financial services industry preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare credit amendments, Letters of Credit, and required documentation for approved credit applications.
  • Manage loan drawdowns by maintaining worksheets and preparing advance memorandums.
  • Complete compliance checks to ensure that all conditions are met before funds are released.
  • Review third-party and insurance documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with credit terms.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets for real estate lot/unit closings and process payout statements.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, and external partners to resolve documentation or security issues.
  • Review security documentation and support account managers in correcting any deficiencies.
  • Other duties assigned within Lending and Credit operations.
