About The Position

The Credit Operations Business Transformation Manager will work side-by-side with Credit Operations leadership and innovative and strategic thought leaders to support the MBFS strategy and transformation, achieving operational, financial and strategic targets. This position will represent Credit Operations in the coordination, prioritization and execution of strategic initiatives designed to enhance, automate and optimize credit processes, systems and customer experiences. The position requires a unique blend of Credit Operations knowledge, business process expertise, systems knowledge, project management capabilities and strategic thinking. This role will serve as a key liaison between Credit Operations, Business System Owners, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysts and other business domains to evaluate opportunities, define future-state processes, establish business requirements and facilitate the implementation of system and process enhancements. The position will coordinate initiatives that span multiple systems, domains and functional areas, ensuring alignment between business strategy, operational requirements and technology capabilities. The role will identify opportunities to leverage automation, system enhancements, process redesign and emerging capabilities to improve operational efficiency, quality, compliance, employee experience and customer outcomes. Strong communication, organizational and influencing skills are required to effectively partner with executive management, business leaders, IT, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders. The position will provide strategic and operational insight throughout the initiative lifecycle, from opportunity identification and business case development through requirements definition, prioritization, testing, implementation and post-launch validation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate and coordinate strategic Credit Operations system and process transformation opportunities that improve operational efficiency, quality, automation, risk management and customer experience.
  • Partner with Credit Operations leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to assess current-state processes, identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and develop future-state solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, workflow optimization and elimination of manual activities.
  • Develop recommendations and business cases that articulate strategic value, operational impact, resource requirements, risks and expected benefits.
  • Serve as the primary Credit Operations business engagement owner for prioritized system and process initiatives.
  • Partner with Business System Owners, IT, Business Analysts, Enterprise Architecture and other domains to translate business objectives into clearly defined business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering, process design, solution development and implementation activities across multiple systems and functional areas.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with Credit Operations strategy, enterprise architecture, regulatory and compliance requirements, and the desired future-state operating model.
  • Manage planning, coordination and execution of prioritized Credit Operations transformation initiatives.
  • Establish project objectives, scope, milestones, dependencies and deliverables; monitor progress against established plans; identify and escalate risks, issues and resource constraints; and develop mitigation strategies when gaps or delays occur.
  • Coordinate cross-domain resources and competing priorities to facilitate timely implementation of system and process changes.
  • Provide regular status reporting and recommendations to Credit Operations leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead business process analysis, testing and implementation activities associated with system and process changes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and resolve system or operational issues.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, validate system functionality against business requirements, facilitate defect resolution and support post-implementation validation.
  • Ensure appropriate process documentation, procedures, training materials and knowledge transfer are established to support successful adoption and sustained business results.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and governance across Credit Operations and partner domains.
  • Facilitate workshops, project meetings and working sessions to drive alignment, decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Support prioritization and governance activities by providing leadership with analysis of initiative value, operational impact, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Build strong relationships across business and technical organizations and serve as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor regarding Credit Operations processes, systems and transformation opportunities.
