About The Position

The CREDit Graduate Program Analyst role is a two-year training and development opportunity at S&P Global Ratings, with the next intake joining in September 2027. Analysts are hired into a specific practice and may transition between practices according to business needs. During the first year, analysts develop skills and knowledge in their home practice. During the second year, they gain exposure to other practices through classroom training, small projects, or short-term secondments. The program combines practical work experience with completion of a relevant qualification, such as the CFA. In the Corporates practice, analysts are assigned to industry coverage groups and work with companies across a range of industries and sizes. They support the ratings process, from initial meetings with senior management through final rating committees, learning from experienced S&P colleagues. Work includes applying S&P methodology to prepare models, drafting articles for publication, assisting with research, and developing credit judgment and analytical opinions through top-down and bottom-up research. Current placements include Technology, Media & Telecom; Leisure & Entertainment; Consumer Products; Transportation; Autos & Defense; Healthcare; Capital Goods; and Retail & Restaurants, among others. The position requires at least two days per week in the office. Candidates reaching the final interview stage must attend at least one in-person interview, ordinarily at their nearest S&P Global Ratings office. The role is limited to people with indefinite right to work in the United States.
