About The Position

Navicore Solutions is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering financial wellness through informed choices. We offer comprehensive financial counseling nationwide, covering personal finance, consumer credit, student loans, foreclosure prevention, housing, disaster recovery, and bankruptcy counseling and education. Our core mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals and families by providing education, guidance, advocacy, and support. We are currently seeking Credit Counselors to join our Counseling Department. This is a full-time, remote position with fully remote training, and all necessary technological equipment is provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, call center environment, finance, case management or social services
  • Computer literate with the ability to type at least 25 words per minute
  • Ability to spend the entire workday on the phone
  • Required to obtain NFCC and HUD Housing Counselor Certification within 6 months of start
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone in a high volume in-bound call center environment
  • Coachable and receptive to feedback and improvement
  • Demonstrate ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with supervisor and management team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial counseling by upholding the standards of the counseling model to consumers in need.
  • Manage numerous processes and procedures for counseling delivery and data capture.
  • Engage in lengthy phone communication with consumers, client referrals, and industry representatives.
  • Maintain focus and availability for inbound calls in a remote work environment, ensuring a quiet and distraction-free setting.
  • Handle periods of high call volume, manage phone interactions effectively, and meet performance standards.
  • Connect with consumers via phone, capturing all communication details and data points using the organization’s proprietary CMS platform.
  • Multi-task and utilize various software applications, including the agency’s CMS, Outlook, Adobe, Word, and a soft-phone.
