About The Position

Navicore Solutions is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering financial wellness through empowered choices. We offer comprehensive financial counseling services nationwide, covering personal finance, consumer credit, student loans, foreclosure prevention, housing, disaster recovery, and bankruptcy counseling and education. Our core mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals and families by providing education, guidance, advocacy, and support. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Housing Department as Housing Counselors. This is a full-time, remote position, and all necessary training will be conducted remotely. The organization provides all required technological equipment to employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Required to obtain HUD Housing Counselor Certification within 30 days of hire (study materials provided).
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to punctuality and dependable attendance.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in a high-volume call center setting (inbound and outbound).
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately.
  • Ability to spend the majority of the workday on the phone.
  • Must be computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including typing at least 40 words per minute.
  • Willingness and availability to attend all required training courses.
  • Prior call center experience required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Mortgage and/or housing industry experience is a plus.
  • College Degree Preferred or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated empathy while maintaining clear guidance and direction for clients.
  • Must have a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide housing counseling to referred homeowners.
  • Educate homeowners on various financial products and align their financial goals.
  • Deliver clear, consistent client education and program guidelines.
  • Provide resources and customized client action plans to clients as needed.
  • Conduct high-volume inbound and outbound phone communication with clients in a professional manner.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective telephone engagement.
  • Accurately enter, update, and transfer client data in applicable systems.
  • Participate in required training sessions related to programs, services, and compliance.
  • Meet established performance, productivity, and behavioral expectations.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards; incorporate feedback from management.
