About The Position

This position requires candidates to be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our headquarters and be able to meet the position’s onsite work requirements. Be part of Lafayette Federal Credit Union, recognized by USA TODAY as a Top Workplace for three consecutive years (2024–2026). We are expanding and looking for exceptional talent to support our members and strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice. Join us as we work to become the premier financial partner for our community. Your expertise, leadership, and commitment to service will be essential to our success. This is more than a credit card management role. It is an opportunity to shape the strategy, performance, growth, and member experience of one of Lafayette Federal’s most important consumer lending portfolios. We are seeking a Credit Card Manager who is energized by building, improving, and leading—not simply maintaining. If you want the opportunity to influence portfolio strategy, modernize operations, strengthen risk controls, and deliver greater value to members, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for. Lafayette Federal is investing in the continued growth and evolution of its credit card program. The Credit Card Manager will oversee the strategy, operations, performance, risk management, and growth of Lafayette Federal’s credit card portfolio, with responsibility for card products and services, portfolio analytics, member experience, compliance, disputes, fraud processes, vendor relationships, and product development. This leader will partner across Lending, Operations, Compliance, Fraud, Marketing, and Member Experience to strengthen portfolio performance, maintain asset quality, improve the member experience, and support responsible growth. The position may also provide leadership, coaching, and work direction to assigned team members. This role will help Lafayette Federal answer important questions: How do we grow card activation, usage, balances, and engagement while managing risk responsibly? How do we deliver a credit card experience that earns member trust and loyalty? How do we use portfolio insights to strengthen profitability, asset quality, and market position? How do we modernize products, processes, controls, and vendor partnerships for the future? The Credit Card Manager will help turn these questions into practical strategies and measurable results. The Credit Card Manager will influence how Lafayette Federal grows its portfolio, manages risk, strengthens operations, and creates a card experience that delivers lasting value to our members. If you are ready to build, improve, influence, and lead, we would welcome the opportunity to hear from you. The job posting highlights the most critical responsibilities and requirements of the position. It is not all-inclusive. Additional duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may apply.
