About The Position

The Credit team's mission is to deliver high-quality, policy-aligned mortgage credit decisions efficiently and accurately, contributing to an AI-enabled, customer-centric credit process. This role is crucial for protecting credit quality, enabling responsible growth, and enhancing the customer experience through strong assessment skills and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ recent experience in residential mortgage loan assessment is required, with individual approval delegations held.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to think outside the square and analyse situations in a solution-based environment.
  • Capacity to learn and execute multiple lending policies and processes and run these simultaneously as required.
  • A “Curious, Tech First” Mindset – You are someone who enjoys solving problems and is very comfortable with learning and who can quickly pick up new tech platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Action end-to-end loan applications for new mortgages.
  • Ensure lending decisions are executed in line with the Skip Credit Policy.
  • Take ownership of applications from submission to settlement.
  • Undertake quality credit risk-based decisions to ensure consistent, accurate and timely outcomes.
  • Assist in improving internal processes for the Credit Assessment team.
  • Work with our engineering teams to layer in automation and tech improvements for increasing your efficiency.
  • Work alongside our Customer Operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
