About The Position

We are currently seeking motivated and member-oriented individuals to join our team as a Credit Analyst.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree, relevant certification or license, or specialized training.
- Two to four years of current and applicable experience approving credit.
- Experience with reviewing less than prime loans.
- Understanding of collections process and indirect lending programs.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work and travel to different credit union locations as determined by management.
Responsibilities
- Monitors loan origination system for consumer loan applications.
- Analyzes loan applications for credit worthiness per policy and procedural guidelines.
- Verifies loan application information as necessary.
- Makes loan determination per policy.
- Reviews approved loan documents to ensure completeness and adherence to underwriting policies.
- Documents loan decisions appropriately in file and loan origination system.
- Assists Training Specialist in providing training for staff.
- Offers continued assistance, guidance and counsel with credit decisions.
