The Credit Analyst is responsible for understanding and complying with regulatory requirements for financial transactions, particularly the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP). This role emphasizes superior customer service, relationship building, and promoting a loyal relationship between the customer and Austin Bank. The position also involves fostering a teamwork atmosphere, staying updated on company communications, and developing personal skills through ongoing training. Upholding the organization's values, including ethics, integrity, and confidentiality, is paramount. The Credit Analyst prepares Credit Analyses, which involve analyzing borrower and guarantor financial statements, cash flows, company history, competition, industry/market, and borrowing relationships for approval, recommendation, or annual review purposes. The role requires accurate and precise work adhering to accounting principles, business finance standards, and Bank policies and procedures, often performed without close supervision. The Credit Analyst must handle multiple tasks, report to work regularly and promptly, maintain confidentiality, and enhance professional growth.
