About The Position

CoBank interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of their group. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the bank’s operations. An additional focus of the summer intern will be to complete a capstone project that will seek to add value to the team they are supporting. Over your 10-week paid internship, our Credit Analyst Interns will analyze balance sheets, cash flow, profitability, liquidity, and solvency statements for commercial credit reports. Interns will engage in a range of portfolio management tasks, including addressing compliance, finance, legal, and closing-related issues. You'll develop your analytical skills through hands-on training, mentorship, and support from a network of peers. Additionally, interns will complete a capstone summer project, which may involve industry research, portfolio analysis, market snapshots, or general economic outlooks. The Regional Agribusiness Banking Group (RABG) at CoBank serves a diverse portfolio of cooperative agribusinesses - including grain, farm supply, dairy, fruit, nut, and sugar producers - primarily across the Central, East, and West regions of the United States. RABG provides customized financial solutions such as term loans, revolving credit, and equipment or facility leasing to support operational and capital needs. Interns in RABG gain hands-on experience in credit analysis, customer engagement, and strategic research, contributing to impactful projects like portfolio reviews and industry outlooks. This internship provides a pathway to our full-time Credit Analyst Program (CAP) upon graduation. This role is hybrid, interns will come into their designated office at least 3 days a week. Interns work approximately 40-hours per week.
