This position is responsible for analysis and monitoring the financial condition and credit worthiness of individuals and businesses applying for credit by using historical financial analysis and cash flow projections. The Credit Analyst II analyzes all relevant loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions, and First United’s files. They prepare thorough and concise memos, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for Loan Officers on new, renewal and existing loans within established deadlines. This role effectively manages the bank’s exposure to identified risks, and recommends appropriate structure for transactions in accordance with First United’s credit policy. The Credit Analyst II oversees and manages financial information files to assure current reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts, and notifies Loan Officers of any potential problems in a timely manner. They establish, review and update new and existing loan files for the Bank on a regular basis. Additionally, they provide technical advice and assistance to Loan Officers and perform credit inquiries. The Credit Analyst II effectively communicates with Customers, Loan Officers, and Bank Management in a clear, accurate, and concise manner. They generate solutions to problems and suggest alternative solutions when necessary. This role participates in Bank-wide projects with less specific direction and management while being a large contributor in volume and quality, and meeting established deadlines. The focus is on memos for relationships ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000. The Credit Analyst II manages a high volume of loan activity through new originations or managing the existing portfolio. They create and maintain a solid working relationship with Loan Officers and other team members. This role also assists in the training and development of Credit Analyst I. The Credit Analyst II must adhere to all company policies, core values and procedures, have a genuine interest in learning and working in the banking profession, and dress professionally. They must also complete all required compliance exams on an annual basis and perform other duties as assigned.
