Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • Minimum 4-6 years in a similar field or related work experience
  • Strong financial statement analysis, liquidity analysis, and risk assessment skills
  • Knowledge of hedging options such as AR trade insurance, inventory finance, UCC liens, Letter of Credit, and cash collateral.
  • Experience with D&B reports and other trade data is a plus
  • Knowledge of bank facility structure, covenants, ABL, interest rates, and bank trade references
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Strong attention to details is of paramount importance in this role
  • Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)
  • V-lookup and Pivot tables (Macros a+)

Nice To Haves

  • AI tool implementation and usage skills in the job function preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial credit risk for an assigned portfolio of accounts (40-60 accounts)
  • Complete credit reviews and assigned tasks on a timely basis
  • Use credit risk analysis skills along with available risk assessment tools and third-party data to analyze and recommend limits for existing and new account requests
  • Build strong relationships with: the Customer for periodic financial updates; Sales for forecasts and business needs; Legal to ensure proper documents are in place; Collection to ensure payments are made promptly; and ongoing interaction with Tax, Accounting, Order Management, and Supply Chain
  • Contribute to workflow improvements within the Credit Risk team
  • Assist in producing and maintaining recurring credit risk reports, including: End of Month, Watch List, AR Forecast, Quarterly Report, Aged Trial Balance, Coface Rating, UCC Quarterly, Inventory Finance rates
