Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • Minimum 2-5 years in a similar field or related work experience
  • Foundational financial statement analysis, liquidity analysis, and risk assessment skills
  • Exposure to hedging options such as AR trade insurance and inventory finance
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Strong attention to details is of paramount importance in this role
  • Diplomacy and ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel) V-lookup and Pivot tables (Macros a+)
  • Attitude towards work and timeliness in completing daily tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with D&B reports and other trade data is a plus
  • Basic understanding of bank facilities and bank trade references is a plus
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
  • AI tool implementation and usage skills in the job function preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, applying the company’s credit practices and procedures.
  • Continuous monitoring of their account portfolio, ensuring that credit limits are sufficient, alerting team leads to financial downturns, and suggesting credit actions or other risk-mitigating solutions.
  • Initial risk analysis and setup of new accounts, working with various external teams to ensure appropriate documents are collected and accurate.
  • Reporting both assigned and ad hoc reports that will be distributed within the group as well as to a broader audience.
  • Manage the commercial credit risk for an assigned portfolio of accounts made up of smaller limits and a less complex portfolio mix.
  • Complete credit reviews and assigned tasks on a timely basis.
  • Use credit risk analysis skills along with available risk assessment tools and third-party data to analyze and recommend limits for existing and new account requests.
  • Build strong relationships with: the Customer for periodic financial updates; Sales for forecasts and business needs; Legal to ensure proper documents are in place; Collection to ensure payments are made promptly; and ongoing interaction with Tax, Accounting, Order Management, and Supply Chain.
  • Follow established procedures and learn existing workflows.
  • Assist senior analysts in producing and maintaining recurring credit risk reports.
