About The Position

Provide support to senior banking staff in the on-going credit evaluation of existing and prospective customers across the Commercial Banking Department. Besides contributing to the overall efforts of the commercial banking staff, this experience is intended to provide a broad exposure to all lending areas and develop the skills necessary to underwrite and manage credit relationships. Participate with senior banking staff in relationship maintenance and the on-going marketing, solicitation and negotiation of new business opportunities. This experience is intended help develop the knowledge skills and confidence necessary (i) to represent the bank (ii) to identify credit or treasury services opportunities (iii) to know what information to request to appropriately consider a business opportunity and (iv) for successful account relationships management.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance Degree required

Responsibilities

• Spreading financial statements
• Preparing relationship, collateral, loan agreement compliance and profitability summaries
• Preparing industry research
• Preparing financial analysis memorandums
• Preparing loan memorandums
• Attending loan committee meeting to include presentation of credit requests
• Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
• Other duties as directed by senior commercial banking staff
• Attending weekly sales meetings
• Research, identification and development of prospects
• Making customer and prospect calls
• Developing information requests for credit and/or deposit and/treasury service opportunities
• Preparing term sheets for credit requests
