Citi is enhancing its business control and governance framework by establishing Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a first line of defense business line, to consistently manage credit risk activities for its institutional clients. ICM aims to provide integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit across the enterprise. Within ICM, the Credit Underwriting function (ICM UW) is responsible for credit analysis, underwriting, and first line of defense credit approval for periodic/material transaction reviews, and subsequent credit monitoring across all institutional businesses, including Corporate Banking, Services, and Markets relationships. This role involves managing a portfolio of relationships, owning the credit risk analysis, and continuously monitoring the portfolio. Responsibilities include producing annual and quarterly reviews, and supporting ad-hoc transactions, portfolio/industry reviews, and stress testing. The analyst is expected to possess a strong understanding of credit risk, Citi's internal policies and procedures, and the fundamentals of the industries within their portfolio. Some supervision from the Credit Risk Team Lead is expected, particularly for complex situations, and the ability to engage in thoughtful discussions with partners, with some intervention from the Underwriting Manager, is necessary. This role specifically covers the NAM Corporate Energy portfolio and reports directly to the NAM Corporate Underwriting Manager for Natural Resources - Energy.
