About The Position

The Credit Administrator Utility provides administrative, operational, and analytical support to the Credit Administration Department. This role assists with loan file maintenance, portfolio monitoring, reporting, document tracking, covenant administration, appraisal and construction monitoring support, and other credit-related functions. The Credit Administrator Utility serves as a flexible resource for the department, helping ensure compliance with Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and internal credit procedures while supporting various special projects and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent banking experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 1-3 years of banking, lending, credit administration, loan operations, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with commercial lending documentation or loan servicing is a plus.
  • Understanding of banking operations and credit administration processes.
  • Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and portfolio administration.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound judgment.

  • Experience with commercial lending documentation or loan servicing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Credit Administration team.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical credit files.
  • Assist with document collection, tracking, indexing, and record retention.
  • Support credit officers, underwriters, and portfolio managers with administrative requests.
  • Monitor department workflows and assist with task completion to ensure timely processing.
  • Assist with covenant tracking, tickler management, maturity monitoring, and exception reporting.
  • Review portfolio reports for completeness and follow up on missing documentation.
  • Monitor ongoing borrower reporting requirements and maintain tracking logs.
  • Support periodic loan reviews and portfolio maintenance activities.
  • Review loan files for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with post-closing file reviews and document exception tracking.
  • Support compliance reviews related to lending regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for audits, examinations, and internal reviews.
  • Assist with appraisal ordering and tracking processes.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders regarding appraisal requirements.
  • Maintain collateral documentation and ensure required records are properly retained.
  • Monitor appraisal expirations and follow-up requirements.
  • Support construction loan monitoring activities, including tracking inspections and draw requests.
  • Maintain construction loan files and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with monitoring project status, budget updates, and exception reports.
  • Escalate discrepancies or missing information to management.
  • Prepare recurring departmental reports and spreadsheets.
  • Compile information for management reporting and loan committee presentations.
  • Perform data entry, reconciliation, and validation within bank systems.
  • Assist with departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Credit Administration projects, system implementations, and process enhancements.
  • Cross-train in multiple Credit Administration functions to provide departmental coverage.
  • Support workload balancing and temporary assignments as business needs require.
