About The Position

The Credentialing & Operations Specialist ensures clinicians experience a seamless transition from offer acceptance to assignment start. This is a part-time W-2 position beginning with a 90-day introductory/probationary period focused primarily on credentialing responsibilities, with regular secondary support across operations. Performance is reviewed at day 90 for conversion to Regular Status, with the role expected to expand in hours and scope over time. Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in credentialing, healthcare staffing compliance, or related regulatory documentation work.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare staffing experience, particularly supporting travel healthcare clinicians.
  • Experience with ATS/CRM platforms (TargetRecruit, Salesforce, Bullhorn, etc.).
  • Payroll or contract administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full credentialing lifecycle from candidate acceptance through assignment start.
  • Collect, review, verify, and maintain required documentation, including: Professional licenses, Certifications, References, Background checks, Drug screens, Immunizations and health records, Skills assessments, Client-specific onboarding documents.
  • Coordinate with recruiters, clinicians, clients, and third-party vendors to ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements.
  • Monitor expiring licenses and certifications and proactively coordinate renewals.
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready clinician files.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policy, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Prepare, distribute, track, receive, and maintain executed employment agreements, assignment confirmations, and related contractual documentation for clinicians and, as needed, client agreements.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and validation for clinicians.
  • Support assignment setup, extensions, and contract modifications.
  • Perform data entry and quality assurance within TargetRecruit, Salesforce, and related systems.
  • Maintain accurate clinician records and database integrity.
  • Assist with operational reporting and data audits.
  • Support special projects, documentation, and continuous process-improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-train on operational functions to provide backup coverage across the department.
  • Deliver a responsive, positive onboarding experience for clinicians.
  • Communicate proactively with recruiters and account managers on onboarding progress.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could delay assignment start dates.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
