About The Position

Aeroflow Health is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to join their Credentialing and Licensing team. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization can provide uninterrupted services to patients by managing payer credentialing, enrollment, and compliance requirements. The role involves working closely with various departments such as Compliance, Legal, Provider Relations, Emerging Markets, and Facilities to support growth and ongoing operations. The Credentialing and Licensing team is vital for maintaining strong payer relationships, accurate documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements, which directly supports Aeroflow's expansion into new markets and continuous patient service. This position is primarily based in the Asheville, NC office, offering a hybrid work schedule with approximately three days per week onsite. The role requires a high degree of resourcefulness, proactivity, and comfort in managing complex processes with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to independently assess situations, determine next steps, and drive progress even when all information is not immediately available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in an administrative, operations, compliance, or coordination-focused role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including spreadsheets and database-style tools
  • Strong time management skills and reliable follow-through
  • Regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule
  • High degree of ownership and independent thinking
  • Comfortable operating in an environment with pending applications, verifications, or approvals from outside organizations
  • Proactively track outstanding items, identify opportunities to move work forward, and manage uncertainty without needing constant guidance
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, detail-heavy tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to follow complex processes accurately and consistently
  • Proactive communication style, including comfort with follow-up via email and phone
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in documentation and data entry

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in healthcare, credentialing, enrollment, or payer-facing roles
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
  • Familiarity with database-driven tools such as Microsoft Access or similar systems
  • Background in legal support, compliance, or operations

Responsibilities

  • Manage and submit government (Medicaid) and commercial payer credentialing and revalidation applications
  • Proactively communicate with payers regarding application status, documentation needs, and approval timelines
  • Maintain accurate, organized credentialing records and supporting documentation
  • Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Provider Relations, Corporate Development, and Emerging Markets teams
  • Obtain and submit insurance certificates, surety bonds, accreditation documentation, and annual filings
  • Prepare and process attestations, provider directory verifications, and roster submissions
  • Track and process license renewals related to provider enrollment
  • Complete CHOW submissions and other payer-specific updates
  • Maintain digital credentialing files and submission records
  • Process inbound payer communications, including physical mail received in-office
  • Undertake special projects, such as researching new license requirements or how to enroll as a particular provider type with Medicaid plans
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
