About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Credentialing Analyst II to manage initial credentialing packets and re-credentialing packets annually. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Two years direct experience with medical staff credentialing
Intermediate knowledge of Credentialing Software (Cactus) and Microsoft Office products
Ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge and understanding of Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging

Nice To Haves

One to two years relevant experience in an academic medical center
NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)

Responsibilities

Manage over 100 initial credentialing packets and 400 re-credentialing packets a year.
Request verification of previous employment for practitioners.
Respond to verification requests received.
Generate monthly reports to keep the department up to date.
Ensure that the distribution of appointment and reappointment documents are on schedule.
Serve as the point of contact for internal and external requesters.
