About The Position

Epping Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) for a full-time position. This role offers a competitive salary of $23–$27 per hour, based on experience, with flexible 4/5 day work weeks. The hospital operates from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holiday hours. The practice is a three-doctor facility supported by a dedicated team, committed to providing exceptional patient care. Requirements

  • Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential required
  • Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset with willingness to jump in where needed
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and passion for veterinary medicine

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients and obtain histories, vitals, and patient assessments
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Run in-house laboratory testing including CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecals
  • Support surgical and dental procedures including prep, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
  • Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
  • Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medical charts
