Poway Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join their amazing team in Poway, California. This is a long-standing animal hospital with deep ties to the community, valuing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for pets and providing excellent client service in an upbeat and fun working environment. The 3-doctor animal medical facility provides quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and helping their families and wants to join a fun, supportive team. They will have experience providing a wonderful and supportive client experience, advanced dentistry and procedure experience, venipuncture and general practice patient care skills and knowledge, and be ready to contribute their talent to a wonderful treatment and procedure team! Poway Animal Hospital aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT).
  • Proficiency in dentistry, extractions, anesthesia, and procedure assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
  • Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
