About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join their team. This role emphasizes practicing at the top of your license, with transparent pay, structured growth, and a focus on well-being. The hospital is a well-established, full-service general practice with a legacy of excellence, featuring state-of-the-art medical, surgical, and dental equipment, an in-house laboratory, and ultrasonography. The technician will serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset, following AAHA utilization guidance.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
- Well versed in Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Well versed in Surgical preparation and assistance
- Well versed in Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
- Well versed in IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Well versed in Diagnostic radiology and proper patient positioning
- Well versed in Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics
- Well versed in Medication administration and dosage calculations
- Well versed in Hospitalized patient care and treatment
- Well versed in Emergency and critical care skills
- Well versed in Pain assessment and patient monitoring
- Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Client education and communication

Responsibilities
- Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
- Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
- Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
- Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
- Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical preparation and assistance
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
- IV catheter placement and venipuncture
- Diagnostic radiology and proper patient positioning
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics
