About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join their team. This role emphasizes working at the top of one's license, with transparent pay, structured growth, and a focus on well-being. They are committed to staying current with advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness, providing top-of-the-line equipment and an in-house laboratory and ultrasonography.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
  • Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology

Responsibilities

  • Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
  • Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
  • Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
  • Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
  • Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
  • Surgical preparation and assistance
  • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Diagnostic radiology and proper patient positioning
  • Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics
  • Medication administration and dosage calculations
  • Hospitalized patient care and treatment
  • Emergency and critical care skills
  • Pain assessment and patient monitoring
  • Accurate medical record documentation
  • Client education and communication
