Credentialed Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Lifetime Pet Wellness Center is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician. The Credentialed Veterinary Technician is a vital member of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing laboratory work. The technician guides and supports the medical team, helps maintain an efficient workflow, and mentors colleagues. The role also involves educating pet owners about treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering their questions, as well as contributing to training, feedback, and high standards in the hospital environment. Responsibilities may vary by hospital and state and are governed by the applicable state Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian. The position is based at 454 Lazelle Rd., Columbus, Ohio, and is on-site. The schedule is Monday through Friday and every other Saturday; when working Saturday, the technician has Wednesday or Thursday off. Pay is $23–$26 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in technical skills including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
