About The Position

CACI is hiring a part-time, on-call Credentialed Background Investigator for the Midwest region. The investigator conducts comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals, and reviews appropriate records to obtain facts. The role requires resolving material issues in each case to establish the subject’s background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications. Interviews may take place by virtual teleconference, phone, or in person, with virtual teleconference as the primary method. The position may involve local travel and temporary duty assignments elsewhere in the United States, typically lasting two weeks. The investigator will complete a one-week intensive virtual online training program and may gain exposure to various investigation contracts. A home office with reliable high-speed internet is required; a $50 monthly internet stipend is provided. The role requires a current driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation. The position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards, with a minimum required hourly wage of $26.07. Requirements

Hold a customer credential, or be able to obtain one based on National Training Standard certification and recent experience conducting background investigations for this customer.
Demonstrate proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics.
Have a bachelor’s degree or four years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.
Be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination based on a T5 Investigation.
Have a strong sense of mission in supporting national security initiatives, impeccable work ethic and integrity, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Be able to navigate and use multiple technology systems simultaneously.
Have a current driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to travel locally depending on assignment location.
Maintain a home office within reasonable distance of workload areas and have reliable high-speed internet.
Be able to sit, type, stand, or walk for extended periods.
Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Have exceptional written and oral communication skills, including communicating complex or sensitive information, listening attentively and responding to nonverbal cues, making clear and convincing oral presentations, maintaining relationships with diverse individuals, handling challenging situations tactfully and professionally, and producing succinct, organized written information with correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Responsibilities
