About The Position

Contra is building the modern professional network for independent work. We help freelancers, studios, and independent teams find work, manage clients, and run payments, all in one place. As more creative studios shift toward flexible, distributed teams, we’re building the infrastructure that helps them operate and scale. We’re hiring a Creative Studio Partnerships lead to help grow Contra’s network of top creative studios. This is a relationship-driven growth role focused on sourcing and onboarding high-value studios onto Contra. You’ll identify standout studios, build relationships with founders and operators, help them establish a strong presence on the platform, and guide them toward running their client payments and contractor payouts through Contra. You will act as both a strategic partner and a trusted point of contact for studios as they grow on the platform. This role is ideal for someone who deeply understands the creative industry, has strong taste, is highly proactive, and enjoys building relationships from scratch.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the creative studio ecosystem
  • Experience in partnerships, business development, talent management, recruiting, creator partnerships, or community growth
  • Exceptional written communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong taste and ability to identify high-quality creative work
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach and relationship-driven sales
  • Highly organized and self-directed
  • Excited about the future of independent work and creative entrepreneurship

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential creative studios across design, branding, motion, product, development, content, and creative production
  • Source studios through platforms like X, Dribbble, Behance, LinkedIn, and referrals
  • Run outbound outreach and relationship-building with studio founders and operators
  • Own the onboarding process from first conversation through activation on Contra
  • Help studios build and optimize their Contra presence, including profiles, portfolios, services, and positioning
  • Educate studios on how to use Contra to manage payments, contractor payouts, hiring workflows, and client operations
  • Build long-term relationships with top studios and act as an ongoing strategic point of contact
  • Partner closely with product and growth teams to share feedback and identify opportunities to improve the studio experience
  • Track pipeline activity, studio activation, payment volume, and expansion opportunities
