LOCATION: Crystal Mountain, Enumclaw, Washington. Hybrid work up to 3 days per week remote possible.
STATUS: Full-Time | 32-40 hours/week | Benefits Eligible
WAGE: $26 - $34.00/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
Come build the Crystal brand across the mountain
Great creative doesn’t stop at the screen. At Crystal, it shows up in the campaign that inspires a visit, the signs that help guests find their way, and the spaces that make a day on the mountain feel connected. We’re looking for a hands-on designer who can bring that experience to life. As our Creative Services & Brand Specialist, you’ll turn marketing priorities into compelling, consistent creative across digital campaigns, signage, events, restaurants, retail, and the mountain itself. This is a design-first role for someone who enjoys both developing ideas and getting the details right. You’ll work within the Marketing team, partnering with people across the resort to take projects from brief through production.

Requirements

• First and foremost, we want to see your work. We’re looking for a portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful design, strong execution, and the ability to carry a brand across digital and physical formats.
• Three or more years of professional graphic design, creative services, advertising, or related experience
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Experience creating digital advertising and campaign assets
• Experience with print production, large-format graphics, or signage, including preparing production-ready files
• A strong understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, legibility, and brand consistency
• The ability to take a creative brief from concept through final execution
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects
• A collaborative approach, openness to feedback, and clear communication about priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing practices and principles
• Evidence of effective communication skills.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with direct team and cross functional departments.
• Experience working with Adobe Product Suites and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in video editing and taking and processing photos.
• Experience in strategic communication planning.
• Experience in principles, concepts and practices of project management
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in advertising and/or marketing experience in a corporate brand or ad agency role.
• Experience leading projects with cross-functional teams from different departments.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and be open to feedback and daily optimization.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with modest supervision.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and handle many projects at once.
• Project management and problem-solving skills a must.

Nice To Haves

• Photography, video editing, motion graphics, and illustration skills are welcome additions.
• Experience with outdoor, hospitality, travel, lifestyle, sports, or destination brands is a plus, not a requirement.
• A degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred, but a strong portfolio and relevant experience matter more.

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.

Responsibilities

• Create and Refine Campaign Creative: Partner with marketing teammates and paid-media partners to develop creative for seasonal campaigns, passes, lessons, events, dining, and other resort offerings. Build cohesive concepts and channel-specific assets for paid social, display, web, email, social, and print. Use performance feedback, audience insights, and testing to refine the work. Your focus is creative development and execution, in collaboration with the people managing channels and campaign performance.
• Bring the Brand to Life on the Mountain: Design signage, environmental graphics, digital-screen content, and branded materials that connect the guest experience from arrival through the end of the day. Apply Crystal’s brand consistently while creating work suited to each space and audience. Own the design and upkeep of Crystal’s visual wayfinding system in partnership with Operations and Guest Services. Create clear, legible information that helps guests navigate, with operating teams confirming content accuracy and operational requirements.
• Take Projects Through Production: Manage assigned creative projects from brief to finished product, including concepts, timelines, specifications, proofs, and production-ready files. Coordinate with printers, sign fabricators, freelancers, agencies, and resort teams as needed. Support vendor estimates and production costs within approved budgets, coordinate fabrication and installation, and review finished work on-site. Keep signage and screen graphics current, including updates, replacements, and removal of outdated creative.
• Build Systems That Make Good Work Easier: Maintain approved brand standards, reusable templates, and an organized library of current assets and production files. Help internal teams use the right materials consistently. Manage requests through a shared creative workflow, with Marketing leadership setting priorities and aligning approvals. Communicate capacity, dependencies, and deadline risks early.
• Design Across Formats: Your projects will include a mix of: Paid advertising and seasonal campaign assets, Web, email, and social graphics, Wayfinding, environmental graphics and digital-screen content, Posters, banners and large-format graphics, Event, restaurant and retail materials, Apparel graphics, brochures and sales collateral, Presentations and internal branded materials. Photography, basic video editing, illustration, and short-form copywriting may occasionally support a project. They are secondary to the role’s core design and production responsibilities, with specialized work supported by internal partners or outside resources as needed.
• Occasionally refresh, maintain, follow and enforce brand guidelines.
• Contribute to the ideation and creation of innovative brand campaigns and individual deliverables within a campaign that resonate with target audiences and align with the company's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of brand messaging and design standards across various channels.
• Continually assess work, be open to feedback and ongoing optimization.
• Design graphics for digital ads, resort signage, posters, presentation slides, banners, newsletters, brochures, flyers, email templates, text content creation, social media and other materials as requested.
• Occasionally perform headline copywriting, location photography, create illustrations and design and construct visual displays and exhibits.
• Operates various graphic design equipment such as graphic computers, cameras and printing equipment.
• Confers with internal clients and team members to align on a project brief, including project goals, budget and timeline as well as critical project details such as print specifications, graphic content, physical production and other requirements.
• Ensures consistent communication and timeliness of deliverables and coordinates directly with internal and cross functional departments, keeping direct manager and VP up to date through macro weekly project status updates.
• Writes bid specifications for jobs assigned to external vendors; coordinates production of materials with external vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing material and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Creates system for department asset organization and content library.
• Maintains department files of completed assignments with an organized, systematic method.
