About The Position

Surface Experts is seeking a Creative Repair Specialist to join their team. This role involves performing creative repairs on various surfaces, many of which can be completed in an hour or less. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making things with their hands, enjoy artistic hobbies, and be adept at finding creative solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize artistic talents in a professional setting, focusing on repairing minor damages to surfaces such as bathtubs, cabinets, floors, appliances, countertops, furniture, and elevator panels. The company emphasizes providing long-lasting, aesthetically pleasing repairs as an alternative to replacement or refinishing, contributing to waste reduction.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience doing some form of manual work – From construction and manufacturing, to painting or sculpting.
  • Must be able to see, distinguish, and replicate colors.
  • A familiarity with color and color matching is integral to our process.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in facilities maintenance is helpful but not a deal breaker.
  • Backgrounds in painting, sculpting, whittling, drawing, and other visual arts of various mediums can excel.

Responsibilities

  • Complete 4 or more creative repairs on-site each day.
  • Perform work on-location while displaying good customer service and communication.
  • Update progress on repairs by entering information and notes on the CRM/Dispatch tool.
  • Follow the unique 5-step repair process.
  • Master each instrument and tool in the personalized tool-kit.
  • Flex artistic talents to find unique solutions for each repair.
