Creative Planner

Masterworks•Poulsbo, WA

About The Position

Creative Planners at Infinite Media own the creative direction and project briefing for Infinite Media and Agency customers. They partner closely with account-level media planners and Infinite Media’s studio director to ensure work is technically accurate, detailed, aligned with customer objectives and brand standards, and brings customers’ ideas to life. This is a clarity-and-authorship role for someone with mid-level agency or creative-production experience who takes satisfaction in details and in enabling others to do their best work. The Creative Planner authors creative direction and project resources, prepares briefs for strategic and brand critique and customer approval, and maintains current brief materials as campaigns evolve. The role coordinates with Program & Production Management on schedules and handoff readiness, but does not own Mission Control or trafficking. It also identifies incomplete resource readiness early and continuously improves brief quality, consistency, and handoff cleanliness across assigned work.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in agency, creative production, direct marketing, and/or nonprofit fundraising creative operations sufficient to write production-grade briefs.
  • Demonstrated strength writing clear, detailed creative briefs, charters, or equivalent work-order artifacts.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a preference for clarity over cleverness in written direction.
  • Comfort partnering daily with planning and production counterparts without taking on their scope.
  • Ability to reference structured content libraries and assets rather than inventing one-off copy dumps for briefs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain creative choices and absorb critique without ego.
  • Capacity to manage multiple concurrent jobs under deadline pressure.
  • Willingness to work in evolving systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Digital Media experience.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or cause-marketing creative workflows.
  • Experience coordinating with Creative Directors, Client Service, and production studios.
  • Exposure to catalogued product/package systems or structured briefing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Author creative direction for each assigned project, including component-level direction notes and related creative fields.
  • Gather, draft, and govern client and project resources needed for execution, including stories, offers, proof points, brand assets, photos, style guides, and templated assets.
  • Maintain sufficient fluency in strategic and production context to create accurate briefs.
  • Prepare work for Agency Creative Strategists to critique for strategic and brand alignment, and for customers to approve with confidence.
  • Keep creative appendices, resource links, and brief content current as campaigns launch or change.
  • Coordinate with Program & Production Management on schedules and handoff readiness without owning Mission Control or trafficking.
  • Flag incomplete resource readiness early so jobs do not advance with invented content placeholders.
  • Uphold brand and customer requirements through meticulous attention to detail and clear, plain-language direction.
  • Continuously improve brief quality, consistency, and handoff cleanliness across the assigned book of work.
  • Manage multiple concurrent jobs under deadline pressure and work within evolving systems.
