About The Position

The Down Market and United By Design (UXD Murals) are collaborating to offer a high -impact, real -world internship experience for students interested in marketing, communications, operations, and creative entrepreneurship. This internship is designed for students who want to learn how creative brands actually operate — from storytelling and digital strategy to experiential marketing, public art activation, and community engagement. Interns will gain hands -on experience working within: A creative media & innovation platform (The Down Market) A public art & placemaking studio (United By Design) A growing ecosystem of founders, artists, developers, and civic leaders cultivated over the past 8 years The Creative Marketing & Operations Intern will support both organizations across communications, project coordination, and behind -the -scenes marketing efforts. This role blends: Digital marketing Content creation Public art documentation Event & experiential support Operational organization Network engagement You will help strengthen the systems that support creative work — not just promote it.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Design, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable with Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar tools
  • Detail -oriented and proactive
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast -paced environment
  • Interested in public art, creative entrepreneurship, innovation, and culture

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing social media and storytelling strategies
  • Create behind -the -scenes content (short -form video, photo sets, captions)
  • Support blog posts, digital magazine features, and case studies
  • Assist with email marketing drafts and community updates
  • Document mural projects, creative events, and activations
  • Assist with external communications for mural installations
  • Draft recap posts and public -facing updates
  • Support storytelling around placemaking initiatives
  • Help maintain brand consistency across platforms
  • Assist with partner communications when needed
  • Support task tracking and workflow coordination
  • Organize digital assets and content archives
  • Assist with production timelines and campaign calendars
  • Maintain documentation of partnerships and projects
  • Help streamline communication between teams
  • Assist with event preparation and on -site execution
  • Capture content during activations
  • Support production checklists and logistics
  • Engage with founders, artists, and partners during events
  • Learn how creative infrastructure and community ecosystems operate
