We are looking for a creative, strategic and data-driven Marketing Specialist to help connect Adams County residents with the resources, services, programs and opportunities available through their public library. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, journalism or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns from strategy through evaluation.
  • Strong advertising copywriting skills with the ability to create persuasive, audience-focused messaging.
  • Experience conducting market research, translating customer insights into actionable marketing strategies, and analyzing campaign performance and data to improve results.
  • Knowledge of Asana, or other project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, adapt flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-speed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on understanding market research, customer insights, and data to inform marketing strategies and campaign decisions that move people from awareness to action.
  • See every marketing initiative as an opportunity to increase library card registrations, strengthen community connections, and expand awareness of library services.
  • Identify and reach non-library users through targeted messaging, audience segmentation and strategic campaigns.
  • Tailor messaging to different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice - creating compelling advertising copy across print, digital, social media, email and web platforms.
  • Use analytics, customer feedback and performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and continuously improve results.
  • Present marketing insights and recommendations based on data and measurable outcomes to leadership.
  • Understand the big picture of how print and digital marketing, social media, web content, email marketing, and emerging technologies work together to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Explore emerging marketing trends, changing customer behaviors and new opportunities to engage the community.
  • Leverage technology, AI tools and marketing innovations to improve efficiency, effectiveness and creative output.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization, bringing together diverse perspectives to create successful marketing initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects with confidence, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure every decision made and action taken demonstrates collective integrity.
