A day in the life… As a Creative Intern (eCommerce Design) , you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and brand-aligned content that enhances the consumer experience across RussellStover.com and retailer websites. You will develop product page images, A+ content, and advertising creatives that drive engagement and conversion. Leveraging AI scoring tools, you will ensure all designs are competitive within the chocolate category and resonate with consumer appeal drivers. You will collaborate closely with the eCommerce Specialist and cross-functional teams to align creative with copy, maintain legal compliance, and uphold brand standards. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, strategic content that supports sales and elevates the Russell Stover brand online. This an in office role in Kansas City, MO.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a graduation between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Strong experience using Adobe design platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator) – internship will require independent use of these design platforms as direct training on the software will not be provided
  • Ability to make Gifs or short videos using designs a plus
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn about eCommerce
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in the consumer packaged goods or manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of eCommerce (D2C, Retail Click to Mortar, Marketplace) product page requirements
  • Ability to adapt and learn design standards quickly, specifically brand guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation
  • Video creation capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Use Adobe design platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator) to develop creative assets
  • Develop product page images for RussellStover.com and retailer websites
  • Run designs through AI scoring platform to ensure creative is competitive with other major chocolate brands and appealing to consumers
  • Create Enhanced Content (A+/below the fold) content for product pages
  • Work with eCommerce Specialist to align content with copy displayed on product page and appeals of the consumer
  • Develop creative for retailer advertising campaigns and Google/Meta ads
  • Align all developed content with brand standards and appeal drivers
  • Work with eCommerce and other internal teams to ensure content is legally compliant
  • Support department projects that contribute directly to business goals
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare summaries or recommendations
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks and operations needs within your team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on assigned initiatives
  • Participate in weekly check-ins with your manager
  • Attend professional development workshops and networking events
  • Deliver a final presentation showcasing your project outcomes and learnings
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
  • Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
